CENTREVILLE, Virginia, June 09, 2010 ― Astrocast.TV announced today that its online Astronomy and Space News program has been recognized for excellence and selected to receive 3 Silver and 1 Bronze 2010 Telly Awards for the story, "Breaking New Ground", Kathleen Koch reports from Spaceport America.

Founded in 1978, the Telly Awards is the premier award honoring outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs, as well as the finest video, film and internet productions. The Telly Awards annually showcases the best work of the most respected advertising agencies, production companies, television stations, cable operators, and corporate video departments in the world. The Telly Awards is a widely known and highly respected national and international competition and receives over 14,000 entries annually from all 50 states and many foreign countries.

Astrocast.TV is a Web based video News program covering events in the science of Astronomy. Astrocast.TV  the first of its kind Newscast in a visually rich format is a Public and Educational outreach.  Astrocast.TV's produces "A Green Space A Green Earth" with Bente Lilja Bye, "The Astronomer's Universe" with Carolyn Collins Petersen and "Our Night Sky" with Dr. Harold Geller.

  • Present Astronomy News in a visually rich and comprehensive format.

In 2008 Astrocast.TV also won 2 Bronze Telly Awards brining the total to 6.
