Dr. Lori Feaga, a NASA Solar System Ambassador and science team member of both NASA’s Deep Impact Extended Investigation (DIXI) Mission and ESA’s Rosetta Mission, brings her expertise, energy, and drive to influence young female students to pursue a career in the science and technology fields. Receiving her PhD. in astrophysics from the Johns Hopkins University, she currently serves as a Research Associate at the University of Maryland applying her specialty in spectroscopy to the study of comets. Of particular interest is Lori’s passion to share her knowledge and love for space with everyone, especially tutoring young women in math and science and developing science programs for the Girl Scouts.
